On this page:
http://docs.otslabs.com/OtsAV/help/index.htm#using_otsav/audio_output_features/shoutcast_integration/how_to_integrate_the_shoutcast_plug-in.htm
It says :
"SHOUTcast Source DSP v1.9.0 is the most recent version which does work fully (linked below), however, beware the official website download uses this same version number for the download setup file even though it is really the newer and problematic SHOUTcast Source DSP v1.9.1 inside)."
Why can't we use the actual 2.3.2 version from shoutcast.com/broadcast-tools? Isn't this advice dated from 3 years?
Is it mandatory to be stuck at 1.9.0, or is it just a question of updating the documentation?
This is crucial to us, as international characters breaks with the recommended 1.9.0 version
You can try the 100% compatible alternative edcast.

I too would like to use a current Shoutcast plugin, and it looks like the "100% compatible" alternative hasn't had any development done on it two years which makes me think it's dead or unsupported.
What's stopping Ots from using the currently available DSP plugin?
Ots hasn't done any further development in that area. They've been concentrating elsewhere, just like visualization support has dried up. That too needs updated to work with the updated visuals, or at least impliment something internally as they are eventually supposed to do.
Ots really needs to go back and update a few of it's plugins for compatability with newer tech.
