I a using 1.85 Pro and it will not save my playlists. I get an error message stating that cannnot write to OML. Can anyone help me out??

Darryl

You appear to be confused - Writing to the OML isn't related to playlist saving unless my memory has gone a bit wrong...

Perhaps you can explain what you are actually doing - something like:
1. Run OtsAV
2. Drag two tracks from media library into playlist
3. Select all
4. Right click and choose Export As...

That way we can understand what you are trying to do and offer some assistance.

Have fun,
Darryl.

Or in case meant you got an error it could write the .oml when you closed Ots, try saving the media library to a new place.  Do it then save?

File > Media Library > Save As
It's all just programming :P

yeah I'm in the learning process of OTS. I import my music to the media library then when I close OTS isn't it suppose to save my library? After closing I get a pop up that asks me to save, creat a new file name, or do not save. When I click save I then get the error connot write to oml file.
What I am wanting to do is import my music then save the files. Or I want to create a playlist say on Monday but I do not want to play it until Saturday. When I open OTS the playlist is not there. I geuss I need a "how too"
Thanks dudes

Darryl

Take it one step at a time.

The OML file is a database containing your media library.  This is the required before anything else will work (so fix this before trying to make a playlist).

Can you tell us the exact error you get when OtsAV tries to save the media library (OML file)?

To save yourself from having to import everything again, use the Menu option - File, Media Library, Save

This will attempt to save the media library to the default location (C:\OtsLabs\Data\ I think).

Post back with the exact error message text.

Have fun,
Darryl.

Darryl

A couple of questions:
1. What operating system are you using?
2. Are you logged in as Administrator?

Also check the oml file properties and make sure the file attributes are not set as "read only".

If the file is open anywhere, including OtsAV, or if, as suggested, you don't have permissions, you won't be able to save the file. Make certain you don't have multiple instances open in studio or player, and that a track from the file isn't loaded into a deck in OtsAV. If you still can't save, it's either due to permissions, or you have a corrupt track in the file preventing that track, and therefore the entire file, from saving.

Check to see if the file or the whole drive is read only.
